Hajin punishes poor preparation before it punishes poor aim. If you're moving from MW4 Bot Lobbies into DMZ, start by learning where supplies sit, not just where fights happen. Fire stations offer radiation equipment and parachutes, while clinics stock dressings and medkits. Police stations are worth checking for military gear, though locked armories need extra planning. Pick a route that passes somewhere useful on the way out. Ammo and armor caches can refill your squad, but their sixty-second cooldown means you can't keep leaning on the same stop.

    Give yourself time to recover

Getting back on your feet doesn't mean you're ready for another fight. A tourniquet gets a downed operator moving again, but the wound remains. Dressings buy breathing room; a medkit deals with the injury properly and restores your ability to use the tourniquet again. That's why carrying medical supplies matters even when your armor looks healthy. Self-revive equipment has its own slot, leaving backpack space for other essentials. Plate carriers vary in protection and capacity, too. Duck behind cover, replace damaged plates, then check your wounds. Rushing that sequence is an expensive mistake.

Choose your exit before trouble arrives

Extraction shouldn't become a conversation you have with an empty magazine. Green-smoke helicopter sites give your squad a clear destination, but you'll still need to defend the pickup until everyone boards. Fulton equipment offers a different escape, lifting operators toward an aircraft overhead. Flares demand more caution. Their noise and visibility tell nearby rivals where to look, which can turn a quick departure into a firefight. Before committing, run through a short check rather than charging straight toward the signal.

    Check the approaches for movement.
    Choose a second extraction point.
Leave enough time to change direction.

Keep transport ready for the return trip

A vehicle is useful until its tank runs dry halfway through your escape. Sedans, vans, LTVs, cargo trucks, armored SUVs, and RHIBs all give you options, but fuel and vehicle condition need attention. Gas stations handle repairs and refueling; portable gas cans let you top up elsewhere. Trains and trams offer another way across the city when driving isn't practical. Watch the radiation countdown throughout the trip. Once the storm spreads, a route that looked comfortable earlier may no longer work. Don't spend your escape margin searching one more room.

Protect the operator, not just the backpack

A failed extraction leaves your operator Missing in Action, with most equipment lost and only protected backpack contents returning. Deployment experience softens the setback, but extracting is what deposits DMZ Cash. That money can rescue the operator and restore earned traits and dog tag rank, though replacement gear still comes from your stash. Whether you're comparing CoD MW4 DMZ Items for sale or sorting stored equipment, plan around what you can afford to lose. Survival traits, including an automatic extraction call during last stand, deserve attention before your next deployment.
