Your Pickaxe supply matters more than how quickly you tap in Ghostbusters Treasures. A few rushed guesses can leave you short when the larger boards arrive. If you're also following the Monopoly Go Partners Event, keep your plans separate: this treasure hunt uses Pickaxes to uncover hidden shapes. Watch what each empty space tells you before spending another tool. Exploding critters can clear nearby tiles, while stubborn tiles may need extra attention. Neither makes the displayed minimum a reliable prediction of what you'll actually spend.
Choose a reward worth reaching
Don't make clearing all 18 levels your only measure of progress. There are useful stopping points along the way, especially if your dice supply is running low. Level 12 offers 250 rolls and a four-star sticker pack, while level 16 holds the Ghostbusters Shield. Completing level 18 brings 2,000 rolls, a Swap Pack featuring stickers rated three stars or higher, and a Loot Box. Those later rewards are tempting, but check the next board's demands before committing more resources. A nearby reward can be a more practical target.
| Level | Board | Base Pickaxes | Notable reward | | 8 | 7×5 | 10 | 250 rolls | | 12 | 7×7 | 25 | Four-star sticker pack | | 16 | 7×7 | 16 | Ghostbusters Shield | | 18 | 7×7 | 28 | 2,000 rolls, Swap Pack, Loot Box |
Give yourself room before the deadline
The event is scheduled for October 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM EDT through October 21, 2026, at 3:59 PM EDT. That leaves just under three days to work through the boards. Collect Pickaxes through tournaments, main events, Quick Wins, and free gifts. You don't need to spend every tool immediately. Gathering a small reserve gives you more room to finish a board instead of stopping halfway through a treasure with no Pickaxes left.
Read the spaces before digging again
A long treasure needs a continuous stretch of tiles. A square needs enough room in both directions. Sounds obvious, but it's easy to forget when you're tapping quickly. Once part of a treasure appears, use its shape to narrow your next move. Edges can help when a large piece has few possible positions, though they aren't automatically the best starting point. The single-tile treasure on level 7 is a different problem: its one-Pickaxe minimum says nothing about how quickly you'll find it.
Rule out spaces that cannot fit the remaining shapes.
Target critters when their blast could reveal several covered tiles.
Keep spare Pickaxes for missed guesses and stubborn tiles.
Keep separate event plans separate
Before chasing another milestone, check your remaining tools and the time left. Level 18 contains seven treasures, so reaching it doesn't mean you're nearly finished digging. If you're considering whether to buy Monopoly Go Partners Event Slots, treat that as a separate decision rather than a way to advance this treasure hunt. Here, your next useful move is simpler: collect Pickaxes, study the board, and spend them where the remaining shapes can fit.
